White House Now Has to Clean up a Fourth Bad Comment From Joe Biden

The White House has been desperately trying to clean up three bad comments that Joe Biden made during his time in Europe. Now, they’re scrambling to clean up yet another statement that he made today as he tried to explain those prior remarks.

On Friday, Joe Biden made comments suggesting that he would be sending American troops to Ukraine. He even implied that some had already been there.

“You’re going to see when you’re there — some of you have been there — you’re going to see women, young people standing in the middle, in the front of a damn tank saying ‘I’m not leaving,’” Biden declared.

The White House subsequently tried to clean that up saying that no, he would not be sending any troops to Ukraine.

On Monday, Fox’s Peter Doocy asked about the statement Biden made and said that the White House had walked it back. Joe Biden insisted it hadn’t occurred.

Denying the reality of what he said and the White House clean-up was bad enough.

But then, Biden got himself into deeper trouble by trying to explain what he “really” meant. Biden claimed that what he was trying to say was that the American troops were going to be meeting Ukrainian troops when they were training them in Poland.

First, that isn’t close to anything he said about when you go “there” and people standing in front of tanks saying “I’m not leaving.” Plus, he said, “Some of you have been there.”

Second, this new claim may be revealing something else that wasn’t supposed to be said — yet again. Back on March 22, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan denied that the U.S. was currently training any Ukrainians. So are they training Ukrainians in Poland?

After these Biden comments to Doocy, the White House tried to clean up and walk them back — the fourth set of remarks that the White House has had to clarify for Biden. They said that he was talking about the American troops interacting with Ukrainians in Poland (not training).

From Politico:

A Pentagon spokesperson did not respond immediately to requests for comment, nor did representatives for the Ukrainian government. A Polish official wouldn’t confirm any interactions between Americans and Ukrainian troops.

“There are Ukrainian soldiers in Poland interacting on a regular basis with U.S. troops, and that’s what the President was referring to,” said a White House official.

Multiple congressional staffers on key national security committees said they were unaware of such a training mission. One said that the training would be classified and therefore couldn’t confirm it was happening.

But this is very bad. Because now Biden has put a spotlight on the American troops in Poland with what he’s said about them. He’s putting them and their mission — which is only supposed to be about defending NATO- – in danger by saying things he shouldn’t be saying.

Scary when we have to be so concerned about remarks from the alleged leader of the free world.

Biden is going to accidentally remark us right into a war.
